An artist that recently retired from a 9 to 5 career and have reconnected with my life-long interest in painting and the arts. My earliest inspirations came from surrealists like Salvador Dali as well as my experiences as an emerging artist from the new era movement of my high school years growing up in the 70’s.
I create art to embody the reality of nature’s ‘known’ boundaries; then transition into a world of imagination.
My art is based on personal living experiences that symbolizes emotions that may not initially be apparent to a viewer.
The hope is that the individual viewer can connect on a deeper level by identifying their own unique challenges and obstacles, and indirectly influence them in a positive manner.
Self-taught, my previous experiences included art classes throughout high school and one class while obtaining my associates at Northern Virginia Community College. Since the Fall of 2023, I have taken weekly classes offered at MAL by Barry Koplowitz.
